Dear Reader,
There’s something magical about a book that pulls you in so deeply it reshapes your day. A really good story doesn’t just entertain—it can motivate you. Even if you want to keep on reading and reading, you get out out of bed, into the shower, and tackling your to-do list with purpose because you know that once your jobs are done you can go back into the book.
A really good book can motivate you to go back to the shooting range and practice your aim, to do your cardio and add some weights, one percent better every day. A really good book can motivate you to drink your water and take care of yourself so you can end your day in the book.
A really good book can motivate you to clean your bathroom. Scrub that tub! Light some candles and let the bubbles bub. All so you can enjoy self-care with your book.
A really good book can motivate you to do your laundry and add the fresh smelling scents of spring. So you can change your sheets. So you can crawl in, in peace and comfort, and read.
A good series can motivate you to drive (through a snowstorm) to the bookstore because you can’t wait the one day for Amazon delivery.
If you or someone you know likes apocalyptic novels, if you’re looking for a gift for a survivalist who enjoys reading fiction, check out this winter read: Edge of Collapse by Kyla Stone. There are seven primary books in the Edge of Collapse series. You do not need to read the prequel (Chaos Rising) because it is the same as the beginning of Book 1. However, if you just want to get a feel for the writing style before you dig in, go for it!
