Push Back the Dark
(Poem of the Week) Sequin green humming flutters from flower to flower, and a baby bunny hopped by not two feet from me— he stopped to say hi. The birds are chirping, the insects sing. Such a beautiful morning the Mother Goddess has blessed me; and the Holy Spirit comforts my soul, casting his golden white light. Life has so much more to offer than an ugly bottle of whiskey could ever provide. That bottle lies to you— a devil dressed in a tuxedo, smelling like spice with hint

The Witching Hour
(Poem of the Week) Kitten warmth in knitted blankets Claws like ice “Wake up!” White beam through window screen Shining emeralds in the night What is that you say? The day hasn’t yet begun. “The moon is full bind the foe,” purrs nocturnal feline like music giving spirit without any lies . . . Vernacular Apathy
(Poem of the Week) I must be free to speak my mind Instead, I find I'm threatened. Once I clung We lingered on Lost inside our friendship. Now I open up my mind Slow, I see what we both hide . . . We trap ourselves We sit apart, yet Side by side— Speaking riddles By day subliminal By night . . . Invading serum reveals this nocturnal mind. Tell me what you find, For I can’t see past this week— This life has turned me blind— I feel a scream sneak up on me Slowly, it will subsid

Dear Lost Letter,
I swear I hid you beside my bed After writing from my heart and the melody in my head. I put you away for a special day that day has come but you’re gone— some place . . . Perhaps I’ll find you a distant time from now perhaps I wasn't meant to keep you long Like a mandala you were a work of art impermanence is the sum of all parts. Love, Cleo Lost Letter, by Cleo Bell, is the first of many letters to come. #CleosLetters P.S. I love bubble gum!
