We are energetic beings functioning within an infinite universe of energy and matter. With the recent developments in science regarding universal energy, there is a renewed interest in all things spiritual, including astral projection (which dates back thousands of years).

Many terms are interchanged and people get confused while discussing remote viewing, lucid dreaming, astral travel and astral projection.

Whereas with remote viewing you stay on the earth plane, astral projection or astral travel involves the astral plane or spirit world (some say between the earth realm and the afterlife) where you might see other astral travelers, spirits or entities.

In astral travel, your consciousness is in two places at once. You can astral travel by trance work or meditation into the astral realm going as far as the stars.

Sometimes people confuse the term lucid dreaming with astral travel. Lucid dreaming is simply being aware within a dream while you are asleep. You’re still there, in your body, the entire time. However, lucid dreaming can lead to astral travel as can meditation.

In astral projection, your full consciousness leaves your physical body and transfers into an "energy" body, the etheric body. We can astral project unconsciously, while asleep; or consciously in which case you usually project right before you sleep or right after you wake up.

Either way, the pineal gland releases DMT, assisting in this projection.

By the way, you can not get lost forever from your body because of the energy connection. You can get snapped back into your body when it senses something going on around it or your mind takes you back.

Often astral travel is called astral projection and vice versa, so it’s okay to use the terms interchangeably.

There is another way to explain a projection—etheric projection, where real-time projection takes place but you can also access the astral world. It sounds to me like a mix of remote viewing and astral projection; however, it’s been said that there’s a difference between an astral body and an etheric body (they are two different kinds of subtle bodies depending upon the energetic connection). Others differentiate the two by frequencies.

I first astral projected when I lived in Green Bay (in my 20s) but I only went to the next room. This was consciously. In 2020 I realized I could still do it and even go many miles away, but this was unconsciously. So, the subject caught my interest again. While I’m awake, I can sense if someone astral travels to visit me. I’m not sure if I can or have done this in my sleep.

Thanks for reading.

Tracy
