Work in Silence. Let Success Make the Noise.
Internal motivation is more powerful than external motivation because it gives us drive and sharpens focus. We are driven by the intrinsic reward of accomplishing something. Silence allows us to concentrate and builds the resilience we need to achieve.

Why I DNF’d Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke (And Why That’s Okay)
That said, I saw the buzz about Yesteryear in Newsweek and figured I’d give it a shot before the inevitable TV/movie adaptation (Anne Hathaway is attached, apparently). The premise sounded intriguing: a modern “tradwife” (short for traditional wife) influencer—who promotes a hyper-traditional, homemaker lifestyle on social media—suddenly time-travels to the harsh realities of 1855.

Music on the Horizon, a Travel Blog
Temperatures in Arizona reached eighty degrees while it snowed and snowed back home in Wisconsin. This made for a wonderful December! We spent the following evening playing with the dogs and enjoying the sunset on Dad and Paula’s patio.

Follow Your Heart, A Travel Blog
This backstory brings me to my travel story. In October of 2022, Mom was stationed in Asheville, North Carolina. I decided to follow my heart and visit her there. We absolutely loved it! I felt so blessed to be able to do this, to spend time with my Mom, and to see the Blue Ridge Mountains. This was before the hurricane Helene tragedy—a devastating tropical cyclone that caused catastrophic rainfall, leading to flooding in North Carolina and Tennessee.

Take What You Like and Leave the Rest
So, that was and is the path my mind has taken, partly because of my environment. But I was born curious. We all are to some extent, but I remember the intense questions I had when I was a kid. Perhaps being an American who had a good childhood (environment) played a part, however I think my biology and perhaps past life interests played a bigger role in my childhood ponderings.
I have, of course, had other interests guided by my spirit, my soul, and my mind. I’ll use music a

Guarding Your Heart: True Love is Divine
it’s not bad counsel to give, but not let yourself be used. Love, but not allow your heart to be abused. Trust, but don’t be naive. Listen to others, but don’t lose your own voice. I had this posted on my wall above my computer for a few years along with my favorite quote from Eckhart Tolle: When you complain, you make yourself a victim. Leave the situation, change the situation, or accept it. All else is madness.
It’s all very good advice, especially to protect yourself from

Breaking the Chains: Embracing Freedom and Personal Growth
Like everything else in life, balance is key: intellectual intelligence, emotional intelligence, and spiritual awareness. Each person has their own path and their own timing. A healthy body, mind, and spirit bring more balance. We can heal our bodies and minds from the causes of stress by eating right, exercising, going to a chiropractor, seeing a doctor, meditating, being creative, etc. We can heal our souls, too, through spiritual development.

The Collective: Unconscious and Conscious
Moving thought from the unconscious to the conscious is awareness./Jung: the collective UNconscious consists of a collection of knowledge and imagery.../
When I think of collective consciousness I think of all people as a whole, who are in touch with each other because of their present awareness. However, if a group of people went through the same experience at the same time, I believe they could have a collective consciousness of their own. This brings me to grouping vs the

The Mind of God
So, how do you know when God is talking to you? Well, during my personal Bible studies, I had read The Bible, devotionals, and books written by pastors. I cannot reference the source of this compilation of text, but I ended up typing out some words, folding up the paper, and keeping it in my purse. This is what it says:

Thoughts on Astral Projection
In astral projection, your full consciousness leaves your physical body and transfers into an "energy" body, the etheric body. We can astral project unconsciously, while asleep; or consciously in which case you usually project right before you sleep or right after you wake up.

Imbolc: Celebrated from February 1 Through Sundown on the 2nd
The goddess Brigid is honored among Wiccans. In honor of Her, the holiday, Imbolc is celebrated. If you feel the call to light a white candle and make an offering to Her, please do so. The holiday actually dates back to pre-Christian, ancient Celts specifically in Ireland and Scotland but started even before then.

New Year’s Resolutions
What do I think about New Year’s Resolutions? Well, to each’s own. They can be motivating, especially during the dire month of January. They can also be harmful to your self-worth should you not succeed, and that’s not good. Today is January 26th. If you have not fulfilled your resolution, I say, try again if you want or let it go. Don’t beat yourself up. I believe new beginning start February 1st. Mid-winter. That’s when dormant life starts to rebirth. It’s a great time to
